Who am I?  What “type”  of psychic am I? Where do the messages come from?

“Psychic” is a general term that refers to any or any combination of types of psychic skills.  I am Clairaudient, Clairvoyant, Claircognizant, and Empathic.  I also have mediumship abilities, though it is not my specialty, if someone wants to get through, they do.  On this page, I have explained a little bit about my abilities and shared a little bit about my journey.

My name is Melody.  I was born in a small town called Bangor in Maine.  I was raised on a farm and always kept very close to nature.  Being connected with nature is one of the things that opens us up to the dimensions other than the ones we live in.  Learning to breathe with the wind and be one with the earth resonates with me still today.  As a small child, every night before going to bed I would sit in the hallway outside of my bedroom and play “Jacks” on the wooden floor.  I played with Sally.  She was an old lady who was in spirit and who helped me to expend the final bit of energy I had in me so that I could fall asleep.  My mother would be roaming around the house finishing her daily chores and passing through to take a peek at me chatting with Sally about my day while we played Jacks.  She knew that I was talking to the woman who had lived her adult life in our farmhouse and passed there several years before we moved into it.  I on the other hand thought that Sally was an old lady who lived with us, like a nanny, in this world.  Sally was the first friend in Spirit that I remember.  I was three or four years old.  At that point in my life, my Clairvoyant vision and my real world vision seemed to be joined, so that telling the difference between the two was not so easy.

As I grew older, several of my spirit guides started appearing into my life.   We all have inner guides.  A main guide as well as 2nd, 3rd etc. Through my guides I learned empathic, clairvoyant and clairaudient skills.  An Empath picks up on feelings.  Because of this skill, I can feel what you are feeling using nothing more than the thought of you.  This can be either a physical or emotional feeling.  It manifests on me in a very physical way.  For example, if you have heart ache, my heart will ache.  If you want to know what someone else is feeling and she/he is not opening their heart to you, I may feel like there is a stone in my heart (or stone hearted).  A Clairaudient skill means that I can hear messages that come from a variety of places.  Mostly they come from my spirit guides, your spirit guides, angels or deceased loved ones.  My Clairvoyant skills sort of float in and out during a reading.  An image will float in and show itself.  I share the image directly as I see it.

As a teenager I was wrapped up in my own troubled teen world.  I turned off and tuned out my psychic abilities.  It was too much to handle during that time.  In my early twenties the abilities returned ten-fold.  It frighten ed me.  I had convinced myself that none of it was real, that I had only been a child with a terrific imagination.  I again tuned it out.  It did not go quietly away, but sent many messengers urging me to listen to the messages, for this is part of my life path to help others hear their guidance.  I did not listen.  I ran.  I was overwhelmed with everything in life as teenagers usually are.  I couldn’t handle opening up to hearing and feeling anything outside of myself.  I have found that this is very common in the psychic communities.

In my mid twenties, I dropped the fears.  As I embraced my abilities, and re-trained my mind and my soul, they grew by leaps and bounds.  I learned that I have nothing to fear.  I started playing with tarot cards and pendulums and finding out that they really spoke to me.  Many types of spiritual work have assisted me in dropping the fear and again opening up to my abilities.  I started studying Kabbalah and the Zohar.  Also I took courses and attunements for Reiki.  I took a workshop with Joseph LoBrutto, who is noted as being the best psychic medium in Florida and he took me on as a personal student.  Through Joseph I learned to channel guides and deceased loved ones, in other words, to take what they say and pass it along to the person who needs to hear it.  Additionally, I took the Angel Healing Practitioner course and learned how to access the angelic realm for both messages and healing.  Within a month of completing the course (with Deidre Abrami a student and certified metaphysical teacher of Doreen Virtue’s work) my Clairvoyant skill (or seeing images) opened up wide.  The angels are who provide the images. Staying connected with multiple sources of pure channels of the light of God is very important to me.  The first thing I do every day is get my cup of coffee and sit down with books of prayer (The Torah, The New Testament, the Zohar and various prayer books).  I begin every day by connecting my soul to the light of God through one or more these books combined with meditation, so that I may channel messages.  Regular and daily connection is extremely important for many reasons, but I should mention that it is important especially in this case in order to receive accurate information (from the light only).

The Reiki energy work has led me to more healing pathways.  I have a natural feeling and understanding of the healing power in Aramaic text.  Providing healing by using the letters has long been a passion of mine.  Most recently I have been studying resources on sound healing with Joseph Mark Cohen at The Tree of Life Kabbalistic Astrology school.  Providing healing to others using visual and sound techniques is a rapidly growing channel that I am thrilled with opening.  There are some exciting things in the works!  My work on a Kabbalistic Ki or Ruach healing method is in progress.  I am presently writing a book which will explain how this works along with a training manual.

In having turned on and off my psychic skills, the second time, I learned a lot about what it takes to open the door and also to close it.  Therefore I have been very successful in teaching others how to open themselves to their intuitive skills on many different levels.
